Pick’em has landed in Australia, and the Dabble app is the place where you can find out what they are all about. Pick’ems are one of the biggest bet types in the USA, especially on NBA and NFL betting. Aussie punters now have the option to place  Pick’em bets on those sports as well as other popular sports like AFL, NRL, soccer and tennis.

What is Pick'em on Dabble?

Pick’em bets are essentially a multibet with over and under markets. To win, you must select players to reach more or less than a projected line for that market. For example, The projected points line for Nikola Jokic has been set at 24.5, you need to decide if he will shoot less or more than 24.5 points.
As you add selections to your Pick’em bet on Dabble Australia, the multiplier at the bottom of the app will increase with every selection, so you can see what the return will be.This ranges from 3.5x for a two-leg Pick’em, to 1500x for a 12-leg Pick’em.

Pick’em Multiplier

The amount of legs in your Pick’em will determine the odds for your bet. With each selection, you can watch your multiplier grow from 3.5x to 1500x your stake. Below is the table for calculating your multiplier:

Number of Legs
Multiplyer (All-In Bets)
23.5x
36.5x
412x
525x
640x
780x
8150x
9275x
10500x
111000x
121500x

Pick’em Rules on Dabble Australia

There are some general rules that come with placing a Pick’em at Dabble, and these are highlighted below:

  • You must have players from opposing teams in your Pick’em. Meaning, you can’t select all players from one team.
  • You can only pick a player once. For example, you can’t have the same player picked for Points, Rebounds, and threes in a basketball game. You can only select that player for one of those prop markets.
  • Pick’ems can’t be combined with other racing bets or fixed odds sports.
  • If all of your players from one team are voided, the entire bet will be void as the ‘players from opposing teams’ rule will not have been met.

Pick’em Bet Types

There are two bet types available when placing a Pick’em bet - All-In and Hedge. Both have their pros and cons and we explore them in detail here:

All-In Bets

An All-In Pick’em is between 2 and 12 selections for players to hit over or under the projected line. For example, Lebron James to score more or less than 23.5 points in a game.
To win the Pick’em, every leg must win. If one leg fails, the bet will result in a loss.

Hedge Bets

Hedge bets give you some added security for reduced odds. By selecting ‘Hedge’ in the ‘Select Payout’ section of the betslip before you place your bet, you can still win if one or two legs lose. For example, an All-In Pick’em with 10 legs has a multiplier of 500x and all legs need to win. But with a Hedge bet, the multiplier would be 125x and you would only need 8 legs to succeed for a winning bet. In a 10-leg bet, if one leg lost, the multiplier would be 25x, and if two legs lost, the multiplier would be 5x.

The format is simple as players simply need to select from More and Less markets, and with the added security of Hedge bets, you can still win if one or two legs fail - which isn’t the case with a traditional multibet.

With a wide range of sports to choose from, there is sure to be a market to suit everyone.

The only downsides to Pick’ems is that you can’t select the same player for multiple markets, and you have to select players from opposing teams.
